 Social Studies

This year, we will study two countries out of the following:

China

England

Puerto Rico

Italy

Mexico

Russia

We read nonfiction informational books, fiction stories and folktales/fairytales from the country, complete writing tasks and many hands-on activities.

We also use National Geographic as another resource to learn more about current events.  These are monthly periodicals that spark a child's interest in today's events and create wonderful classroom discussions.
